SC school employee accused of taking video of students in locker room, police say

A Charleston school employee was arrested after he allegedly took videos of of male students changing clothes in a locker room, according to a statement from the Charleston Police Department.



Staff at Bishop England High School called police Wednesday after finding images of the students on an electronic device, according to the statement.


Detectives quickly identified the person allegedly taking the videos as Jeffrey Alan Scofield, 32, of North Charleston. Scofield was charged with two counts of voyeurism.


Scofield was arrested and taken to the Berkeley County Detention Center.


Police are still investigating the incident and will contact any other families of victims identified, according to the statement. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Charleston Police Department Investigations Division at 843-720-2487.
