Missing $10,000 ‘champion’ Bichon Frise dog has been found, South Carolina police say

An expensive “champion” dog that went missing has been found, police say.

Leah, a “breeding champion” 11-pound Bichon Frise worth about $10,000, went missing from her home in Greenville, South Carolina, on Oct. 13, according to the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office.

Leah’s microchip was scanned at a Petco in Simpsonville shortly after she went missing, the Sheriff’s Office said.

Now the pup has been “returned to her rightful owner,” the Sheriff’s Office said on Wednesday.

Simpsonville is about 14 miles from Greenville.
