Could it be you? Someone won $100,000 in SC lottery — but ticket is about to expire

Someone picked winning lottery numbers in South Carolina in July. But now that ticket — worth $100,000 — is about to expire.

South Carolina Education Lottery officials say the winning Palmetto Cash 5 ticket was sold on Saturday, July 20 at a Sunoco on Folly Road in Charleston.

The ticket matched all five numbers: 4, 11, 12, 23, and 28.

Winning tickets expire after 180 days. The winner has until 4 p.m. on Thursday, January 16, 2020 to claim the ticket in Columbia or mail the ticket in to lottery officials.

“If the prize is not claimed, the $100,000 winnings will be deposited in the Education Lottery Account to support educational programs in South Carolina,” lotto officials said Friday.
