Bojangles’ manager sold drugs along with chicken biscuits at restaurant, SC cops say
A manager and another employee of a Bojangles’ in South Carolina are accused of selling drugs from the restaurant, according to police and media reports.
Officers began conducting surveillance Wednesday at a Bojangles’ Famous Chicken ‘n Biscuits in Florence after receiving several complaints about drugs, police said, according to WBTW.
Police suspected restaurant manager Terrence Tisdale was selling drugs from inside the restaurant, the TV station reported.
When Tisdale and employee Maurice Ellis were seen leaving the eatery in a Nissan Maxima, officers pulled them over, WMBF reported.
Tisdale, 45, and Ellis, 36, were charged with trafficking in cocaine and possession with intent to distribute marijuana, WPDE reported.
Tisdale, who has a previous arrest for trafficking cocaine, was also charged with “driving under suspension,” WPDE reported.
Tisdale was being held in the Florence County Detention Center on a $7,500 bond, jail records show. Ellis was released from custody.
