Video shows woman lick hands, touch items at sandwich shop. SC cops looking for her

Police are looking for a woman who entered a South Carolina sandwich shop this week and proceeded to go on a saliva-spreading spree.

According to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office, the woman, clad in a one-piece Champion jumpsuit, can be seen on video licking her palms and touching various items at the Sub Station II sandwich store at 1272 Peach Orchard Road in Sumter.

Why she started spreading her germs isn’t clear in the Sheriff’s Office report, but workers told police she left without her sandwich, tossed her drink away, and said of the whole situation, “It’s in God’s hands now.”

The Sub Station manager told officers that after the woman ordered her food, she licked her fingers as she handed money over to the clerk.

Then she moistened her palm and spread it over the debit machine, police said. Next, she licked several quarters and dropped them in the tip jar before heading for the exit, the report said.

Workers were still preparing her order when she made for the exit, and as she left, she suggested they hadn’t seen the last of her, police said.

“The lady also stated that she will be back,” according to the report. When deputies arrived, there was no sign of her.

The store manager told deputies “he wanted to report this incident so this same woman doesn’t spread any diseases,” the report said.

Police ask anyone with information to call (803) 436-2161 or 1-888-CRIME-SC, or to submit tips electronically to p3tips.com.
