Buyers who want the best of Columbia will now have to pay hundreds of thousands more for those properties. The three most expensive houses listed Nov. 15 on Zillow in Forest Acres and on Lake Carolina are worth about $3 million more than they were in late 2020.

The most expensive listing on Nov. 15 will cost buyers $2.35 million, though last year it was listed for about $1.5 million less.

The four-bedroom house, complete with a balcony-deck, a dock on the water and three fireplaces, oversees Forest Lake.

“Beautiful lake views create the setting for this amazing residence,” noted the Realtors on the listing. Interested buyers and spectators alike can see the photos for themselves online.

For a slightly cheaper price tag, at $2.25 million, buyers can purchase a home on Lake Carolina instead. They’ll get more bedrooms, bathrooms and garage space, according to the Zillow listing. A Jacuzzi pool with a waterfall feature and an outdoor grilling area add to the allure of the Blythewood residence, which also comes with a dock on the lake.

The 8,121-square-foot house jumped more than $1 million in value since November 2020.

Future owners will “enjoy a sense of freedom, fish, swim, ski or soak up the sun,” in this luxurious residence.
