Porsche driver dies after rear-ending tractor-trailer traveling on I-95, SC cops say

A South Carolina driver died after running into the back of a tractor-trailer over Labor Day weekend, officials said.

The semi-truck was traveling south on Interstate 95 when state troopers said a Porsche SUV got behind it. The SUV then rear-ended the truck, according to S.C. Highway Patrol.

The SUV driver was killed in the crash, officials said.

Officials reported the crash at about 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 4. It happened near mile marker 188 in Dillon County, northwest of Myrtle Beach.

Troopers in a news release didn’t share additional information about the crash, and an investigation was ongoing as of Sept. 5.

The Dillon County Coroner’s Office didn’t immediately share additional information with McClatchy News on Sept. 5.
