Teen boy dead for a week found in SC hotel room with unconscious mother, coroner says
The Greenville County Coroner said a 14-year-old boy found dead in a Greenville hotel room had been dead for a week.
Landon Chance Poston was found Monday on what would have been his 15th birthday.
There were no outward signs of injury, the coroner said. The cause of death is pending results of an autopsy that was conducted Tuesday.
Poston’s mother was found unconscious in the room at InTown Suites as well, Shelton England, senior deputy coroner, said.
She was identified by a family member as Sonja Campbell and is in the intensive care unit of a local hospital.
He was a student at Southside High School in Greenville.
