Here are the 20 most popular baby names in SC, according to the Social Security Administration

The Social Security Administration keeps a running list of most popular baby names each year. While the administration does not yet have the most popular names for 2023, it recently released its full list for 2022. The administration has a nationwide list along with lists for each state. The source is a 100% sample based on Social Security card application data.

For South Carolina, Noah came in first for most popular boy name in 2022. Charlotte was the most popular girl name in 2022.

Several of the most popular South Carolina names also appeared in the list for most popular names nationwide in 2022.

Out of the 100 most popular names in South Carolina in 2022, Eli came in last for boys, while Adalynn was at the bottom for girls.
