This $4.3M SC waterfront tract with mountain views comes with a home building plan. Take a look
From the point at 233 Sandy Hollow Court you can see across the sparkling waters of Lake Keowee in northwestern South Carolina to the Blue Ridge Mountains.
On sunny days it’s all blues and greens, a mix of hardwood and pine trees along the shore.
The 2.3 acre-tract is for sale for $4,300,682. That’s for the land only. You’ve got to build a house, but plans for one come with the property, which is a gated community located in the Landing at Keowee Springs, a Cliff’s community.
Listing agent Diane Bostrom of Joan Herlong & Associates said the plans show an 8,000 square-foot home with a breezeway connecting to the garage. It’s shown with shiplap siding and recessed windows.
Bostrom said the 425-foot lake frontage makes it a premiere location in the Landing development, where several homes are under construction.
The Cliffs recently added the Lake Club at Keowee Springs with dual swimming pools, restaurant, wellness center with a yoga deck and access to Lake Keowee. It was designed by Lake Flato Architects and also includes courts for the ever-growing sport of pickleball.
There are seven Cliff’s mountain and lakefront communities south from Asheville, North Carolina, into South Carolina, encompassing 20,000 acres in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Four of them are along Lake Keowee, which is a reservoir built to serve the Oconee Nuclear Power Station.
The tract was bought in 2021 for $3.75 million by an entity known as 497 King Road Trust, making it difficult to learn the actual owner. It is managed by an Atlanta law firm.
The Cliff’s communities are known to attract celebrities from stage and screen as well as athletes. Jack Nichlaus has designed some of the golf courses.
The house plan was drawn up by Gabriel Builders, which has built many of the homes on Lake Keowee. An application for a dock designed by Kroeger Marine has been completed.
Bostrom said the owner intended to build there but has relocated. She declined to name the owner. Property records with Pickens County show the owner bought the property in 2021 for $3.75 million.
