You’ve seen plenty of homes lit up for the holidays with lights synchronized to the rhythm of music.

How about patrol car lights synchronized to holiday music — “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies” perhaps?

That’s precisely what the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office did. The video was posted to their Facebook page Wednesday. You can view the video by clicking here.

Carrie Miller, spokesperson with the Sheriff’s Office, said the video was made three years ago by a former employee and they post it every year.

“I think it took him a couple days to put it together,” Miller said.

The video is a montage of photos spliced together to match the beat of the music from The Nutcracker by Tchaikovsky.

“Our guys are not that coordinated to hit the right lights at the right time,” she said, joking.

“If I remember correctly, we saw another agency do it with fire trucks or some other emergency vehicle and we decided to give it a try,” she said.

A holiday staple.
