A 16-year-old boy was killed during an early morning bar brawl in South Carolina, and detectives say their suspects are two of the nightclub’s bouncers.

The fight happened around 1 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 26, at the Exotic Bar Lounge in Ridgeville, a 35-mile drive northwest of Charleston.

“A verbal altercation turned into a physical altercation and a shooting occurred,” the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Office said in a Jan. 27 news release. “When deputies arrived on scene, they located a male who was deceased.”

The identity of the 16-year-old boy has not been released.

Investigators said he was fighting with Timothy Walker, Jr., 34, and Kenneth Lorenzo Porter, Jr., 33, when the shooting occurred. The two men “worked at the incident location as security guards,” the sheriff’s office said.

Walker and Porter have been charged with murder, officials said.

Investigators have not released details on what caused the dispute to turn deadly.

The Exotic Bar Lounge posted a social media apology to customers just hours after the shooting, calling it “a traumatizing situation.

“The safety of others has always been something I try to stay on top of at my business,” the Jan. 26 Facebook post said.

“To the family of the young man my sympathy and condolences. ... I couldn’t even imagine the hurt and pain everyone is going through.”
