This SC airport just won an international award for best airport of its size in North America

Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport recently earned the designation of best airport with 2 million to 5 million passengers from the Airport Council International.

It’s the third year in a row the airport has earned the award, which is based on passenger surveys.

GSP also was honored as the airport with the most dedicated staff, easiest airport journey, most enjoyable airport and cleanest airport.

“Flying through Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport is more than just a journey; it’s a carefully crafted experience,” said Justin Erbacci, director general of ACI World.

GSP President and CEO Dave Edwards said, “Our passengers expect excellence, and we embrace the challenge of exceeding those expectations every day.”

Some 1.4 million passengers arrived and a similar number took off from the airport in 2024, an increase of 12% over 2023.

Seven airlines offer 24 non-stop locations, including a recently added non-stop flight to Los Angeles. Breeze Airlines is offering a seasonal non-stop flight to White Plains, New York, north of Manhattan, beginning in May.
