Memorial Day will again be here on Monday. The federal holiday, created to honor veterans who lost their lives in the line of duty, is also considered by many as the unofficial kickoff of summer. As such, many Americans will spend the day relaxing, grilling and or barbecuing.

But what if you forgot to bring a condiment or need some extra packs of napkins and plastic forks?

Here’s a list of what’s open and closed on Memorial Day in the Palmetto State.

Publix

Most Publix stores will be open on the holidayand will close at 7 p.m.

Whole Foods Market

Most Whole Foods Market will be open on Memorial Day. The retailer recommends customers check their local store page online for more details.

Target

Whether you have a Target with a large grocery store section or a small one, the result will be the same come Memorial Day — it will be open, but store hours will vary by location. Check your local store for specific holiday hours.

Piggly Wiggly

Walmart

Like its competitor Target, Walmart will be open on Memorial Day. The stores will be open regular hours.

Food Lion

Food Lion fans in South Carolina are in luck! The grocery chain will be open during normal business hours on Memorial Day.

Kroger

Kroger stores in South Carolina will be open for Memorial Day. Check local stores for specific hours.

Trader Joe’s

If you are lucky enough to have a Trader Joe’s in your city then yes, it will be open for Memorial Day.
