Columbia teen to end reign as new Miss SC Teen will be named soon. Here’s what to know

Twenty six women will compete in Miss South Carolina’s Teen this week at Township Auditorium in Columbia.

It’s the 15th year the competition has been held in Columbia.

Miss South Carolina’s Teen preliminary round will be held Tuesday, Miss South Carolina’s Teen’s Got Talent Thursday and Miss South Carolina’s Teen Finals at 7p.m. Friday.

Judges include Jake Callahan, a real estate agent and former professional makeup artist; Kim Parrish, a former QVC host and former Miss America’s Teen President; Elise Banks-Lovely, a clinical psychotherapist; Joe Wright, senior executive at Ernst & Young and Naomi Ladizinsky, founder of mobile gaming studio Nix Hydra.

Mary Elle Marchant is the reigning Miss South Carolina’s Teen 2024. Marchant is a graduate of River Bluff High School and will study dance and business at Oklahoma City University.

Her platform was #HangUpandHangOut, designed to inspire teens to set aside cell phones.

She hopes to perform on Broadway and become a Radio City Music Hall “Rockette.”

Miss South Carolina’s Teen 2025 will move on to the Miss America teen competition in September at The Walt Disney Theater at the Dr. Phillips Center for Performing Arts in downtown Orlando, Florida.
