Waffle House in SC now offers delivery with DoorDash, but most not all day. Here’s how it works

For all of you who enjoy late-night meals at Waffle House, the iconic chain with the yellow and black sign has a deal for you.

Waffle House delivered right to your home via DoorDash between the hours of 9 p.m. and 8 a.m., a news release from DoorDash said.

Two restaurants in South Carolina — 2345 Broad River Road in Columbia and 2571 Ashley Phosphate Road in North Charleston — offer the service 24/7.

The partnership is with DoorDash Drive on Demand, which allows customers to order through the restaurant’s website or mobile app — order.wafflehouse.com or the Waffle House Ordering mobile app — and DoorDash handles the delivery.

Waffle House is also available 24/7 in Atlanta, Cincinnati, Columbus, Nashville and New Orleans.

Restaurant Business called the partnership “significant because Waffle House was one of the few large restaurant brands in the U.S. to not offer delivery.”

Waffle House began in 1955 when two neighbors in Avondale Estates, Georgia — Joe Rogers Sr. and Tom Forkner — opened a 24-hour, sit-down restaurant, Waffle House says on its website.

Waffle House now has grown to more than 2,000 locations in 25 states, all still open 24-hours a day, seven days a week with 40,000 employees.

DoorDash was founded in 2013 and is available in 30 countries.
