Here are the 24 best senior living communities in SC for 2026, US News & World Report says
South Carolina has 361 senior living communities, but some don’t provide the exceptional care you’d want for your loved ones.
Around 20% of SC’s population is 65 years old or older, according to Census Reporter, an open-source website that uses the latest data from the U.S. Census Bureau. That means over a million people will eventually consider moving to a senior living facility, which is one of the most important lifestyle and financial decisions of a senior’s life.
Thankfully, U.S. News & World Report, a leading media company, released its 2026 Best Senior Living ratings, using over half a million surveys from residents and their families to determine the best senior living communities in each state.
In SC, 24 communities were recognized for their safety, value, caregiving, food & dining and more. Here’s the list of the best senior living centers and their rankings:
