The best donut shop in SC is not in Columbia or Charleston, ranking says. Here’s where
Donuts are easy to come by in South Carolina. The delicious pastry can be found at gas stations, grocery stores, food trucks and, of course, fast-food chains, such as Dunkin’ Donuts and Krispy Kreme.
They might satisfy your taste buds when you’re in a rush or want a quick bite to eat, but they’re likely not the best quality compared to specialty donut shops.
If you want an exceptional donut, one that raises the standard for all other donuts, you’re in luck because Foodie, a food blog, unveiled the best donut shops in each state in a new report.
Here’s what you should know about Foodie, and how they created their ranking:
Who is Foodie?

They’re made up of a team of dedicated editors and writers who are culinary connoisseurs of all stripes, including industry professionals and avid home cooks. They also regularly consult a wide variety of experts for their coolest tips and tricks in the kitchen and hottest food and beverage trends.

The best donut shop in SC
Sorry to folks who don’t live in York County, because Foodie named a Rock Hill establishment as the best donut shop in the Palmetto State.
MoMo Donuts serves traditional classics that almost any donut connoisseur can enjoy. They also create specialty donuts and unique flavors for those who want to venture out and try something different.
The sweet shop opened for business nearly five years ago, back in 2021, and has since made incredibly enticing donuts that compel customers to come back for more.
They usually have long lines and constantly run out of product before the end of the day. If you really want to try their donuts, go visit them early in the day and ask for their recommendations.
A Foodie writer said this about MoMo Donuts on their ranking:
“Soft and tender, these are ideal for those who like a pillowy bite to their donuts (don’t worry, filling fiends, MoMo Donuts doesn’t skimp on that aspect, either). The perfectly-fried rings are mouthwatering to look at and, judging by the frequent updates of selling out, even more yummy to taste.”
They’re open six days a week and are closed on Mondays. Between Tuesday and Friday, the shop is open from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. On Saturday, the shop is open between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. On Sunday, they’re open between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Their address is 636 Crown Pointe Lane, Site 101, Rock Hill, SC 29730.
