Three men were arrested after a fight inside the Greenville County Courthouse, the Sheriff's Office said.

The trio started arguing in the hallway outside of plea proceedings Monday, Deputy Drew Pinciaro said. The argument escalated into a fight and deputies responded, he said.

Officers tried to break up the tussle as the individuals were on the floor.

"They refused to get up, so that's when they were pepper sprayed," Pinciaro said.

Each person was charged with public disorderly conduct. They were identified as:

Michael Cassell Copeland, 30, Chesnee.

Gary Orlando Dunlap, 35, Greenville.

Jumarkus Jovan Dunlap, 31, of Mauldin.

No bystanders or deputies were injured, Pinciaro said.
