The family of a Florida teen has sued over her death at a South Carolina high ropes course last summer.

Court records show a lawsuit filed in January against Young Life Inc. and Adventure Experiences Inc. by relatives of 16-year-old Olivia Paige Grimes was transferred Monday from Florida to federal court in South Carolina. Mediation is set next month.

Authorities say the Lakeland, Fla., teen died last July after falling more than 100 feet from a swing at Carolina Point Camp in Sunset on the South Carolina-North Carolina state line.

Deputies said then that Grimes was not strapped into the apparatus but that they had found no evidence of foul play or mechanical failure.

South Carolina labor officials said the camp had no state permit for the ropes course.
