Crash on major Lexington road caused delays, police say

Drivers headed into Lexington experienced delays Wednesday afternoon after a crash on Sunset Boulevard blocked lanes, according to a Tweet from the Lexington Police Department.

The crash happened early Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Old Cherokee Road, according to the Tweet.

Lanes for traffic heading into Lexington were closed at about 3:30 p.m., according to the Tweet. Cars are being rerouted from the area. The street reopened a little after 4 p.m., according to a Tweet.
