Crash in Lexington blocks major road, leaves travelers injured, police say

A crash near Lexington has multiple lanes of a major road blocked, according to a Tweet from the local police department.

The crash occurred before 5:45 p.m. at the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Mineral Springs Road, according to the Tweet.

People involved in the accident were injured, according to the Tweet. The number of people hurt and the status of their injuries are currently unclear.

Police ask drivers to avoid the area and seek another route during their commute Wednesday.
