Vehicle on fire blocks all lanes on part of Midlands interstate
A vehicle caught fire after a crash and blocked all lanes of Interstate 26 east in Newberry County Friday afternoon, state road crews reported.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol reported no injuries.
The crash happened at about 12:45 p.m. a mile west of exit 82, according to the transportation department. Exit 82 is for Wicker Road between the towns of Prosperity and Pomaria.
By 2:45 p.m. one lane of eastbound I-26 was opened.
