Wreck on I-26 closes lane heading out of Columbia, traffic backed up

Traffic is backing up after an accident on Interstate 26 Monday morning closed one lane of the highway.

The S.C. Department of Transportation reports that an accident has closed the right westbound lane of the interstate near Exit 85. That’s close to Little Mountain.

Traffic cameras show cars slowing to a crawl as they approach a disabled vehicle partly in the roadway.

The roadway was cleared shortly after noon Monday, traffic cameras showed.
