All westbound lanes on section of I-20 blocked after crash
Drivers were delayed by a traffic jam following a Tuesday morning crash on Interstate 20.
All of the westbound lanes on I-20 were blocked following the wreck near the 51 mile marker, according to the South Carolina Department of Transportation. That’s in Lexington County, near the junction with Longs Pond Road.
The crash was reported at about 9:20 a.m., according to SCDOT.
Information about the cause of the crash, and the number of vehicles involved, was not available.
The South Carolina Department of Public Safety did not say if anyone was injured in the crash.
Traffic cameras showed vehicles backed up on I-20.
At about 9:40 a.m., SCDOT said one of the three lanes had reopened. Information about how long it will take to reopen all of the lanes and clear the scene was not available.
