Clarendon County collision leaves one dead, highway patrol says
A car wreck in Clarendon County claimed the life of one person on Friday, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred a little after 5 p.m. on U.S. Highway 521 near Ridge Road, where a motorist driving a 2008 Honda sedan was traveling south, the highway patrol said.
The driver veered off the left side of the road, collided with a tree and subsequently died. No other injuries were reported.
The driver’s identity has not yet been released by the Clarendon County Coroner’s Office.
