1 dead after day time motorcycle crash, SC Highway Patrol says

A motorcyclist died Saturday after running off the road and crashing their bike into a tree, the South Carolina Highway Patrol said.

The crash happened at around 9 a.m. on Brogan Avenue at Morningside Drive, according to the highway patrol. The driver, operating a 2025 Harley-Davidson motorcycle, was traveling south on Brogan Avenue before running off the left side of the road, striking a ditch and then a tree.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead on the scene and has not yet been identified by the Anderson County Coroner’s Office.

No other injuries were reported.
