The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash in Spartanburg County on Aug. 15, 2025 that left one person dead and several others injured.

One person is dead and several others injured after a Friday morning crash in Spartanburg County, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

The collision occurred Friday around 7:43 a.m. on S.C. 9 near Brannon Circle, according to Master Trooper Brandon Bolt of the South Carolina Highway Patrol. Three vehicles were involved, including a 2003 Chevrolet SUV, 2006 Jeep and a 2008 Honda coupe.

The Chevrolet was occupied by three people, the Jeep one person while the Honda was carrying two, according to Bolt.

As the Chevrolet attempted to turn north onto S.C. 9 from Brannon Circle, it collided with the driver of the Jeep who was traveling north. The impact of the collision caused the Chevrolet to crash with the Honda, which was heading south on S.C. 9, Bolt said.

All six people involved, including a juvenile in the Honda, were transported to an area hospital after suffering injuries.

A passenger from the Chevrolet later died, Bolt said. The deceased has not yet been identified by the Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office.

The crash remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
