Two-vehicle SC crash kills one, sends two to hospital, Highway Patrol says

One person is dead following a collision involving two cars and three people in Greenville County, according to the South Carolina Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred Friday around 9:35 p.m. on Locust Hill Road or S.C. 290, where a 2011 Subaru SUV, carrying two, was travelling west and a 2009 Honda sedan, carrying one, was headed east. The driver of the Honda crossed over the center line and struck the Subaru, a news release said.

As a result of the crash, the operator of the Honda was pronounced dead on the scene while the two in the Subaru were transported to an area hospital for injuries, according to the release.

The identity of the deceased has not yet been released by the Greenville County Coroner’s Office.

The crash remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the release said.
