We don’t let stray dogs wander around — so why are we allowing feral cats to do so?
On Joe Biden
Why is former Vice President Joe Biden so well-regarded in South Carolina?
This is a military-friendly state with many bases and military members who have retired here, and during Biden’s eight years in former President Barack Obama’s administration he did nothing for the military except to underfund and deplete it.
The military was not a priority to Biden or Obama, whose administration delivered billions of dollars to Iran, a leading sponsor of terror. How many Americans were killed by the money Iran used for terrorist activities?
Biden quit on the people of New Hampshire by leaving before the primary results were even in, and now South Carolina is going to be his savior? I believe that African American voters in South Carolina should think about what it was like during the eight years of the Obama-Biden administration — and they should think about whether they are better off now than they were then.
We should all remember the promises that were broken by Biden and Obama when they were in the White House.

On feral cats
Feral, stray and so-called “community” cats are destructive animals that spread diseases, randomly kill native wildlife and are a terrible nuisance in general.
That’s why it’s wrong that Lexington and Richland counties have recklessly adopted a Trap Neuter Release program that allows these destructive and invasive animals to roam freely. By taking this action I believe that Lexington and Richland counties have abdicated their responsibilities to the citizens in their communities.
Why are these counties allowing a private organization to catch and neuter stray cats — only to then release these destructive, invasive animals back into our neighborhoods? We do not allow stray dogs to roam around, so why are allowing stray cats to do so?
The theory behind the Trap Neuter Release program is that it will lead to a gradual reduction in the stray cat population, but that claim is dubious at best; in fact, according to science, that claim is totally bogus.
Worst of all, Trap Neuter Release encourages people to abandon cats. After all, why worry about your unwanted cat when you can just turn it loose to become a problem for someone else? And even after they are neutered, stray cats still possess the ability to spread disease and to kill native wildlife.
Stray and feral cats have no place in our environment, and that’s why we should contact our elected representatives and demand the repeal of Trap Neuter Release.

On traffic laws
It is me or has the world gone mad? Let’s see, our lawmakers want to pass a law where you can get a ticket on the interstate for not moving over to the right lane even if you are driving at the speed limit.
So if you are breaking the law by speeding, you’re fine. But if you are obeying the law by staying within the speed limit, you are breaking the law?
It has always been a courteous thing to move to the right lane if the speeder behind you wants to drive faster — and I always do — but to make this a law is just ludicrous.
