Texas A&M’s midnight yell is at 10 pm in Columbia. Great job with clocks, Aggie fans
The Texas A&M midnight yell will take place at 10 p.m. Friday on the State House grounds, according to a release.
If you don’t know what the school’s midnight yell is, it’s when Texas A&M football fans gather to figure out how clocks work.
They give thanks for the digits on their cellphone with the two dots in between, do some yelling and fade off into their hotel rooms where they stare at clocks with ticking hands and circles of numerals in an attempt to figure out the mysteries of these technological wonders. Texas A&M fans have yet to crack the code.
Are you serious, Texas A&M fans? 10 p.m.? Do the cowboy boots make your back hurt too much to stay up to 12 a.m.?
In all of Southeastern Conference football, the midnight yell is the tradition that is the most bellicose. For the Texas A&M fans reading this, bellicose means showing a willingness to fight, or, in your parlance, to be rootin’, tootin’ ready for some hootin’ as long as the midnight hour don’t strike.
It’s going to be a tough win for the Gamecocks against Texas A&M, but you should have no doubts that Gamecock fans could out party and out charm Texas A&M fans any day.
A Gamecock fan would not arrive in College Station and hurl insults and whoop at the moon. Never!
A Gamecock fan would waltz into a College Station tavern and strike up an engaging conversation with the best looking bartender.
A Gamecock fan would use their charismatic wiles to schmooze their way to your liquor stocks during a tailgate and drink you dry.
Maroon? Are you serious Texas A&M? That’s not a color. That’s when you leave someone on an island to fend for themselves. Maroon is purple mixed with mud.
Garnet. That’s the color of a gemstone fit for royalty.
Welcome to Columbia, Texas A&M fans.
