Letters: Clinton’s problem isn’t gender; it’s Clinton

I had to laugh at the naivete of the letter addressing the quandary of a supposedly “elderly white male friend” who just could not vote for Hillary Clinton because “She was a … she.” I doubt this gentlemen actually exists anywhere except in the writer’s mind.

Most men I know would be very comfortable with a female president as long as she was Condoleezza Rice, Liz Cheney or any other reputable, conservative woman of principal with a record of proven success.

The problem men have with Hillary has nothing to do with her gender. The problem that so many Americans, men and women, have with Hillary is her progressive/socialist vision of America, her failures as the leader of our State Department, the moral lapses throughout her life and her status as an FBI-certified liar.

The funniest part of the writer’s perspective is her trying to say men won’t vote for Hillary Clinton because she is a woman while Hillary is actually trying to convince women to vote for her simply because she is a woman. Of course, that’s about all she really has to offer.
