Letters: Could USC’s Zandi challenge prejudices?

What an inspiring story about USC graduate and starting Gamecock tackle Mason Zandi (“USC’s Mason Zandi fulfilling the American dream,” Aug. 29). The son of an Iranian immigrant, he has never met many of his relatives in Iran, who are probably Muslims. One wonders what Gamecock fans who like Donald Trump think of this player’s background.

Could it be possible that a Gamecock son of a Muslim family might be going to an American pro team next year?
