Letters: Treat woman like she treated puppy
So humanity, or inhumanity, has come to this (“Orangeburg woman, 66, faces charges in puppy’s dragging death,” Sept. 1): Rita Mintz of Orangeburg laughs about dragging an innocent puppy to its death alongside her car. Even if the puppy did try to bite her grandchildren, that is no excuse.
I am sure family and friends will step up in support of her or pull out some health issue they will insist caused this action. Nonsense.
After her conviction, since she admitted to this crime, authorities should put a rope around her neck and pull her alongside a car just as she did to that puppy. At her age, and judging from her picture, it won’t take long for her to lose her footing and begin to feel what that puppy felt. A couple of miles of dragging should take care of things. An eye for an eye usually works well in this state.
What a wonderful role model Mintz is for her family. I can’t wait to see how those grandchildren grow up.
