Letters: Sen Tim Scott should inspire us all

At last there is a new voice in politics that has impressed me greatly. He speaks to all the people, not special groups. I have hope from his talks to the people of South Carolina. Hope that our entire nation will listen.

The new voice is U.S. Sen. Tim Scott. The new hope is for the alliance of people, no matter the color or race, a United States of America.

I pray his name and demeanor will become known well enough to earn him a higher position in government.
