Letters: Nasty column misrepresents liberals

Christine Flowers’ commentary stated that “evolved liberals” supported the violence and destruction of property that has been occurring in Charlotte (“No justifying Charlotte protestors’ crimes,” Sept. 25). I am a liberal, a native of South Carolina, and am disgusted and appalled by the recent events.

Does she think that liberals support and cheer on mayhem and destruction? We own property and pay taxes as well. She also managed to insert a sneer at those who are trying to introduce modest reforms to the gun laws in this country. What a nasty commentary.
