Letters: Trump will keep us safe from terrorists

Even with the open mic episode of Donald Trump — he was quite very wrong — still I’ll vote Trump as the sole person running qualified for president. He effectively will protect the country from Muslim terrorism. The only thing President Obama and Hillary Clinton do is mimic the appeasement of discredited Neville Chamberlain.

The cries of “unfit for office” and “off his rocker” are the same criticism that Winston Churchill got in the 1930s when he condemned Chamberlain’s simpleton view of Adolf Hitler. The Hitler of today is Muslim terrorism. It’s true that not all Muslims are terrorists, but the “silent majority” has been helpless to oust terrorists. Donald Trump is clear-eyed to the threat and will rebuild our military, which Obama and Clinton have inexcusably gutted.
