Letters: Who’s stopping latest wave of refugees?

AP

I made a quick trip to my local supermarket recently to find the parking lot was nearly full, a big surprise. Walking through the parking lot, I noticed a lot of foreign license plates.

And there they were, inside the grocery store taking our food — those foreign refugees from the violence in Florida and the coast of Georgia. I hurriedly purchased my meager supplies and left.

At the gas station, all the pumps were out, the gas already taken by those refugees. It was then that I realized that none of those refugees had been vetted (had background checks). Many may have lost everything in the violence of Matthew. Are we stuck with them? How many felons had come to my area disguising themselves as homeless refugees?

The television news reported that people were taking refugees into their homes. Gadzooks! Where was our “stop refugees” champion? Hiding in his Tower of Babel in New York, according to the TV news. And the governor? She was directing those foreign refugees to housing and shelters instead of starting the much-needed wall between Georgia and South Carolina.
