Letters: Why believe Clinton but not Trump?

I remember, many years ago, when Bill Clinton first ran for president. There were innumerable “unsubstantiated” rumors and claims regarding his sexual indiscretions as well as onerous crimes, such as rape. But his followers found him innocent in the court of public opinion.

How ironic that today we find ourselves in a similar situation. How will the court of public opinion find Donald Trump in regard to the “unsubstantiated” rumors? Will Bill’s followers continue to see him as a loveable rogue? Will they support Hillary in the light of mounting “unsubstantiated” evidence tainting her character? Will undecided voters react like deer in the headlights, frozen with fear and indecision?

I believe that God sent his only son to die to pay for my sins and the sins of the whole world. If God will allow his precious son to undergo such horrible pain and abuse in this world, perhaps I should not expect a happy outcome this side of glory.
