Letters: Setzler should be re-elected

Voters should focus on the General Assembly as these 170 men and women, Republicans and Democrats, in many ways have a more direct impact upon the social and economic lives of ourselves and our children, parents and grandparent than do the federal candidates.

Sen. Nikki Setzler in District 26 is a committed, traditional husband, father and grandfather who is committed to South Carolina’s public education system and its students. He supports reasonable fiscal policies to improve and maintain our infrastructure.

Most importantly, as a man raised and educated in the Cayce-West Columbia community, Sen. Setzler knows the political ideology and moral composition of his constituents. He has consistently focused on the needs of his constituents while staying beyond reproach in his ethical behavior.

I look forward to Sen. Setzler’s return to the General Assembly.
