Letters: Evan McMullin is best choice for president

In a year that held such promise, the major parties chose two of the most divisive, unfit and corrupt candidates our nation has ever seen. Well, maybe not “chose”: Just 9 percent of voters picked Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton in the primaries.

Thankfully, these are not our only options. Evan McMullin is a principled conservative who has been a missionary, a CIA operative, an investment banker and an adviser to the House Committee on Foreign Affairs. Evan is committed to free markets, the U.S. Constitution, a strong national defense, the right to life and every person’s right to pursue a life of dignity and purpose. While the other candidates use name-calling, threats and other fear tactics, Evan speaks with humility, reverence and hope for our nation.

Most importantly, Evan McMullin is giving Americans the opportunity to vote for a candidate of great moral character and principle — a candidate Americans can be proud to vote for.
