Letters: Leader’s character is key, male or female

Rhondda May’s letter lists many successful women who have led their nations (“History is filled with strong female leaders,” Oct. 30): Israel’s Golda Meir, the United Kingdom’s Margaret Thatcher, India’s Indira Gandhi. I would add from the Bible Israel’s Deborah, who led the charge to defeat the Canaanites. Yes, all of these women were great leaders.

But they all had the one thing that Hillary Clinton sorely lacks: good character
