Letters: Dead bears not front-page news

Give me a break. Bear hunting is front-page news (“Bear hunters defend sport as mountain tradition, despite claims of cruelty,” Oct. 30)? With all that is going on in the world, you couldn’t find something of greater importance to print?

I did not appreciate waking up to photos of dead bears splashed across the paper. While some may find hunting a perfectly acceptable pastime, I do not. I am offended by your insensitivity.
