Letters: The world is not coming to an end

AP

I got a call from a family member Wednesday telling me she is scared to death that Donald Trump will have us in a nuclear war within days of his inauguration. Let’s all calm down.

He may have told everyone he is going to blow our enemies to kingdom come because that’s what his supporters wanted to hear, but I assured my family member that there are very wise people in our government who will advise Mr. Trump if he even looks sideways at the nuclear codes. Mr. Trump will learn very quickly to refresh his negotiation skills from his book, The Art of the Deal. There will be no wall built to keep Mexican drug smugglers out; who would supply the Americans’ ungodly desire for cocaine?

Let’s hope our next president becomes a man instead of a clown.
