Letters: Protesters following Republicans’ example

Why are Republicans and their supporters so up in arms over the protests that have been going on since the day after the election? Isn’t this the environment they created?

Who questioned Barack Obama’s qualifications to be president, his citizenship, religion, academics and loyalty to this country? Who said their goal was to make him a one-term president, and to ensure that his presidency failed? Who called him a liar during his address to Congress and disrespectfully cheered at his last State of the Union address? Who fought to railroad his policies, and who was it that refused to act on his judicial nominations? The Republicans.
