Letters: Do only certain female losses matter?

S.C. Rep. Gilda Cobb-Hunter had this reaction to Donald Trump’s win: “From my perspective, it sent a signal to women that we dare not aspire to the highest office in the land.”

I’m curious: Did Ms. Cobb-Hunter feel the same hopelessness when Carly Fiorina lost in her bid for the Republican Party’s nomination?
