My wife and I attended a Veterans Day ceremony at White Knoll Elementary School. The school did a great job. What a great feeling it was to walk through the hallways to cheers, flag-waving and a ton of thank-yous to us veterans.
As I thought about how I wouldn’t have been here if my wife of 40 years had not supported me through my 20 years of service, another thought came to me: These children are the future.
I want to thank our teachers for what they do with our children every day. They mold them, teach, listen to their concerns. Their caring and willingness to go the extra mile mean a lot to all of us.
We should all be proud of our teachers. Thanks again. I’m proud to be in South Carolina.
