Letters: The benefits of evangelicalism
I am considering changing my unfundamentalist Christian status to evangelical Christian.
I understand that by doing this, I would be able to deny basic humanitarian help to refugees from the very part of the world where Jesus lived, my husband would be able to grab my genitals, as would any man without my consent. Like other women, I would be able to continue to be paid 79 cents on the dollar and be denied basic health care, and I could discriminate against anyone who is not white and evangelical as well.
I understand that my outrage against Starbucks because its Christmas cup is not Christmasy enough is what will get me into this exclusive club. Is that true?
