On Saturday, twin terrorist attacks were perpetrated by Kurdish terrorists in Istanbul, killing at least 38 and wounding 155. A breakaway group of the Kurdistan Worker’s Party (PKK) — designated by the United States, NATO and EU as a terrorist organization — has claimed responsibility.

As Americans, we must condemn terrorism everywhere in the world, and as part of the global war on terror, led by the United States, we must do everything in our power to block any financial support to the terrorist groups in the Middle East.

It is our obligation to protect members of NATO and our closest allies in the region. Our elected officials must act in support of Turkey.
