Letters: For the eternal Gamecock fan
The plan for Gamecock fans to be interred near Williams-Brice Stadium will appeal to many loyal supporters of USC. The Athletic Department and USC should go a step further and allow burials on the football field itself.
The playing field and surrounding areas could hold thousands of cremains of fans who want to forever be a part of the football fanaticism at USC. Burials could be postponed until the off-season. The income could generate millions for the program; end zone and 50-yard-line spaces could be sold at a premium. Daddy and Uncle Joe will never have to miss another game.
